The last item I ordered was the Fun Guy ($10). They have a greek flatbread that I am eager to try. With five different flavors to choose from on the flatbread menu, it would be fun to order them all and share with friends. The flatbread was large and great for extra slices to take home or an afternoon snack. This chicken-bacon-ranch flatbread is a classic flavor combination, and it hit the spot. Built on top of a focaccia crust, the flatbread had ranch sauce, grilled chicken, crispy bits of bacon, and mozzarella cheese. I ordered the roasted veggies for my side which included zucchini, yellow squash, and mushrooms that were lightly seasoned. Everything was fresh, and the halloumi helped provide a chewy texture. I sometimes find portabella burgers a bit slimy, but the kitchen did a great job making sure that was not the case. I was impressed with the way the different ingredients of the burger melded together. Served hot on a pretzel bun, it came with a balsamic portobello cap covered in grilled halloumi cheese, caramelized onions, arugula, and topped with sliced avocado. I also ordered the poraloumi burger ($9) as a vegetarian option to try. Fried and finished with salt, they were a perfect addition to the meal. The only thing I can think of is that the inductance in the fan causes the output current through the GFI outlet to lag the input current, which causes the outlet to blow.InspectAPedia tolerates no conflicts of interest. The intresting thing is that with the switch in the on position, and the GFI breaker blown, I can reset the GFI breaker by pushing the reset botton on the outlet then the fan comes on and stays on. I do not have the light plugged in as well. However, when I flip the switch for the fan, the GFI outlet blows. And I'm almost certain that the circuit is run corretly. Then from the fixutre the circuit runs to a switch on the wall. Power then runs to the fan/light fixture in the shower. Thus everything there after is GFI protected. Power comes into then out of the GFI outlet on the vanity. I wired the fixutre off of the GFI outlet on the vanity. According to NJ code, I had to put this fixutre on a GFI protected circuit. I put an exhaust fan/light fixture inside the shower stall. Your time in looking at this is greatly appreciated. As for the future, if I add another boatlift (or 2?), can the boatlift circuit described above handle it? How would it be tied in? ![]() Also, would it help to splice larger gauge cable from shore to boathouse to help reduce voltage drop?Ĥ. Is the 185' run from the house too long for my current plans? I'm getting mixed feedback from different sources. Should I use a disconnect box, and if so, where should it be located? I'm assuming I can combine both circuits/breakers in a single box.ģ. Am I correct in thinking a subpanel is not an option without retrenching new cable with more conductors?Ģ. Back at the house would be a 20A 2-pole breaker for the boatlift and either a 20A (or 15A due to voltage drop) 1-pole breaker for the GFCI outlet.ġ. The GFCI outlet would probably also feed a couple of lights. There, they would go to either a) a disconnect at the boathouse, or b) to their respective terminal devices - a boatlift switch with GFCI for the 10/2, and a GFCI outlet for the 12/2. So, I thought I'd either bring up the 10/2 and 12/2 to a disconnect box on shore just before the pier, or do underground splices, probably with resin/expoxy versus heat-shrinkable tubing, and run them out to the boathouse. The subpanel also does not have a single main breaker in it. I was planning on abandoning the 8/4 cable and subpanel at the boathouse, since the 10/2 cable does not have a neutral conductor to feed the subpanel. It seemed to be buried shallow, so I kept pulling and found.get terminated a few feet away to a 120V plug! It never ceases to amaze me what people will do! Well, I was going to abandon the junction box anyway, since it was filling up with water at very high tide, so I'm trying to determine my next step. Since the cable going from the junction box to the house looked very suspect (like a heavy duty appliance extension cord), I pulled it up a little. ![]() There is a junction box at the start of pier where this cable is join to another cable via wire nuts. It is fed with 8/4 ga (insulated ground) that is in plastic conduit. I tested them at that point and they seem OK.Īpparently, someone had also installed a subpanel at the boathouse at some later time. They were in bad condition under the pier, so I cut them back to the point where they exit the shoreline to the start of the pier. These cables are 12/2 ga and 10/2 ga, each with bare copper ground conductor. There are 2 UF cables that were originally run all the way from the house main panel to the boathouse, which is about 185' away. The boatlift motor will require about 5.5 to 6 amps at 240V. I plan to install a boatlift in my boathouse and need to update the old electric that was run to it. Finally, I discuss the relationship players have with the developers of the game. The lack of an ethical relationship with an individual stranger allows ruthless play in EVE, but the relationship between the player and the imagined community of EVE players places some limits on this kind of play. ![]() Then, I look at the relationship players have with strangers. First I consider how leaders cultivate relationships with their alliance members good leaders are able to both build strong relationships and compel non-compliant players to work for the good of the group. I describe how Chinese players of EVE construct an alternative modernity through their play of the game, drawing on both tradition and modern concerns Chinese players play conservatively in EVE because avoiding risk and saving money are cultural values emerging from traditional duties to the family and China’s modern economic situation. This dissertation argues that players of the online game EVE Online in China construct EVE as an ethical world through the cultivation of their relationships with other players, drawing on Chinese tradition and Chinese modernity in their concern for their selves. ![]() This is a continuation of my previous post in which I tried to explain how to setup Intellij IDE for local development and testing of Groovy Code. This increases the edge pressure by distributing your weight/energy in the areas where you need it – from the binding out, and through the center of the board where the carving arc is taking place. Creating divots inward at the binding area reduces and disrupts the surface area of the edge that has contact with the snow while the board is turning. There’s notable clarity up high, a rich and full midrange, and a soundstage that can pop up a few feet beyond its tiny metrics when called upon. It’s all the more impressive when you consider the vast amount of DSP (digital signal processing), compression, and acoustic expansion the system requires to pump out sound beyond its size. The first thing you’ll likely notice is just how smooth and natural the Ray’s sound signature is, while still keeping details present. I had a similar experience with the Roam, both of which seem to use every millimeter of their sonic enclosures to squeeze out rich, musical, and (in the Ray’s case), cinematic sound. With the Ray, I could tell from the quick few chimes of the audio logo during setup that I was in for a fun time. Sometimes you just know immediately that a sound system is going to outperform your expectations. While this design touch is part of a larger sonic puzzle that helps the Ray sound much bigger than it has a right to, it does mean the bar could creep up and block part of the screen for low-profile TVs. The one caveat to the Ray’s miniature status is its height the bar expands from back to front like a crescendo, rising at the grille to 2.79 inches, a shade higher than the Beam. Simplicity and minimalism are calling cards of the Sonos aesthetic. You can read more about TV remote compatibility on the Sonos website. Since the bar does not support HDMI ARC connection and relies on an IR signal for TV remote programming, this could complicate usability for some. One thing you'll note is there's no remote control in the box. In a small cardboard compartment you’ll find the charging cable, a digital Optical cable in matching colors, and instructions that begin and end with the Sonos app. Unwrapping the system within reveals a matte, monochromatic bar (in white or black) that’s as much wireless speaker as soundbar, reminiscent of the early Wi-Fi streaming days when products like the B&W Zeppelin ruled the roost.
